Consignment & Selling Terms
Last updated 8 July 2026
These terms apply when you sell, trade or consign a watch, piece of jewellery or bag to ESTEÉ & CO.
How it works
Tell us about your piece via our enquiry form. We provide an indicative valuation, then arrange authentication and a firm offer. You can sell to us outright, trade towards another piece, or consign your item for us to sell on your behalf.
Authentication
Every item is professionally inspected and authenticated. We may decline any item we cannot authenticate to our standards, or that shows undisclosed damage or alteration.
Your promises to us
By selling, trading or consigning, you confirm that: you are the legal owner with full right to sell; the item is authentic and not counterfeit; it is not stolen and is free of any loan, lien or dispute; and you have disclosed any known damage, service history or alteration.
Consignment: commission and payout
For consigned items, we agree an estimated sale price and our commission in writing before listing. Once the item sells and funds clear, we pay you the agreed amount — the sale price less our commission — within [X] business days.
You remain the owner until the item sells. While in our care, your item is stored securely and insured.
If an item does not sell
If a consigned item does not sell within the agreed period, we will discuss adjusting the price or returning the item to you.
Outright sale and trade
For an outright sale or trade, ownership passes to us on completion and payment or on agreed trade terms. Our offer reflects the item, its condition, completeness and market conditions at the time.
Payment and identification
Payouts are made by bank transfer to an account in your name. We may require identification to meet anti-money-laundering and record-keeping obligations.
